The tradition of supporting charities and the missionary work has been a part of the life of the chapel over the years and at the start of 1990 a committee was formed to expand the work.
As well as collecting money for Christian Aid annually, the chapel supports a number of local charities and has responded on numerous occasions to appeals for resources for emergencies around the world.
