Lemuel Smith was the young Minister of Taihirion who supported establishing a chapel in Efail Isaf. He died at the age of 27, before the opening of the new chapel.

In 1851, a call was given to Parchg John Davies Treforus to come as minister to Taihirion and Tabernacl, and he stayed until the end of his life in 1904.
